"Yeah mama, I'm settling in."
"Are you gonna be okay by yourself?"
"Of course no need to worry. Weren't we together like a few hours ago?"
"Yes, but you live in New York, and We're back in New Jersey.
"Mama its a hour or two away. Don't worry."
"Alright, I'm just so proud of you Lisa. All grown up. I'm proud of you T-boz and Chilli."
"Thank you mama, I gotta go."
"Welcome! Love ya hunnybun."
"Love you too." We hung up and I called. Chilli.
"When you and T-boz gone be done here?"
"Girl I can't even tell you. Its snowing hard in Ohio. We'll be there as soon as it clears up though."
"Alright, love y'all."
"We love you too Lefty." We hung up and I looked around the house.
Four stories, three bathrooms, an attic, a den, six rooms. Just the kind of of house we've always dreamed about.
I wasn't really feeling the few concerts in Ohio, so our manager said it was okay for me to settle in our new house. I also noticed we had some fine ass neighbors. I heard a knock on the door. I looked in the peep hole, and there was one of the fine neighbors. I opened the door.
"Hello."
"Hay, beautiful welcome to the neighborhood." He flashed a smile. His lips were perfect. So was his smile. He was brownskin, a fine one at that.
"Thanks, your the first neighbor to welcome me."
"Its my pleasure, may I ask your name."
"Oh, I'm Lisa."
"Really? You remind me of Lef-,"
"Left Eye, yeah that's me."
"I can't believe it, we got a super star in the neighborhood."
"Well I'm just a regular person, what's your name?"
"Trey."
"Mm, Trey your a singer huh?"
"Yea, how'd you know?"
"Your name is becoming very popular in the industry."
"Glad to hear that, I try my best."
"Well I'm tired, I think I'm gonna hit the sheets. Nice meeting you Trey."
"Nice meeting you too. And these cookies are for you."
I took the cookies. "Thanks."
I closed my door and a smile was across my face. I think I'm gonna like it here.
