Dimensions of Joy
She sings without words,
Sings with her body
Through the light-less
Belly of earth, where wind blows
Through remembered spaces
Mile after mile in empty places.
She steals through history
Softly winging her way through
Heavenly realms, until her presence
Becomes a distant memory echoing between
Earth and sun where trees remember their
Roots and stones resume their existence
She melds into her own dimension
Pressed between lives and shy lady’s slippers
Where mountains come and go; yearns for water
Beading on leaves in solemn Celtic dances
She traces a red-tail down the stairway of years
Soaring on white wings to the flaming edges
She radiates pleasure; elegant
And graceful she lifts her sleeves
Morning opens to warmth
Delicate as summer primroses
She blesses the promise of this moment
All this— this is the harvest of her joy
