The death penalty is probably the oldest form of "legal" punishment, predating every kind of so-called "jail." Nowadays it is only used to punish the most serious crimes, and even then it is kind of uncommon. But should capital punishment exist?
No doubt it is more efficient than keeping them in prison, but is it right? Do criminals deserve death? If so, can we be the ones to give it to them?
I am somewhat iffy. Yes, people deserve the death penalty; but they should be guilty without reasonable doubt. What about you?
