Gun shots. That was the only thing you could hear for miles. Sudenly i felt a painfull burning feeling in my chest the world slowly faded away and everything went silent "im sorry Alexander" was my final thought

~•alexanders p.o.v•~
I was downsairs in my office it was quite. I never liked the quiet before (sue me). The silence was broken by a knock at the door i ran the door hoping to see johns face again.
It wasnt john it was a letter...maybe its a letter from john i pick it up and read it its from his farther. I read it outloud to myself

"On tuseday the 27th Lieutenant Colonel John Laurens was killed in a gunfight against British
Troops in South Carolina these troops had not get recevied word from Yourktown that the war was over. He's buried here until his family can send for his remains.
As you may know Lieutenant Colonel Laurens was engaged in recruting 3,000 men for the first all black military regiment. The surviving members of this regiment have been rerurned to there masters"

I fall to the floor tears blurr my vision . Everything is numb. my heart is shatterd. The world is empty and meaningless
