Unique

Beck and jade were definitely more unique than your average high school couple because most other couples were boring and bland and jade and beck are not boring

The most notable thing was their style and personality differences. They truly were polar opposites when it came to basically anything, Beck being laid back, completely calm and always ready to help a friend or anyone really. He was also one of the ten Hollywood arts hot guys. He was one of the only hot guys at Hollywood arts that actually had a stable relationship that had lasted a few years, while most of the other guys had a new girl every week, which just proved how loyal of a guy he was.

Jade however was the opposite of her laid back and calm boyfriend , she always seemed to be on the verge of combustion. She also always seemed to be screaming at anyone really. She had a very edgy attitude and most people were terrified of her- the face piercings really didn't help- and her scissors that were always ready to be whipped out in seconds.

Their personalities reflected their styles for the most part too

Beck wore soft warm flannels with lots of colour and normal jeans-sometimes throwing on a chain or suspenders but nothing more complicated than that. He liked to dress simple, but jade loved complicated clothing and lots of layers usually adorned spikes or studs or lined with lace, not to mention that most of her wardrobe consisted of black and very dark shades of colour. One thing that their styles both had in common was their accessories, both wore lots of necklaces, rings and bracelets. Some had meaning but a lot were truly just for statement pieces

Those were the more obvious differences but one day in their third year of Hollywood arts, beck proved some more ways they were unique and stood apart from others

Beck and jade walked hand in hand through the halls of Hollywood arts to get to jades locker so she could switch over her books

"Eugch look at them, who do they think they are?" jade complained gesturing to two ninth graders having a hardcore make out session against the lockers near becks

"I dunno they're just a couple" he defended

"But we're not like that, thank god. They haven't even been together for a week yet" she continued to complain while throwing her theatre history textbook in to her scissor covered locker

"Of course were not like that. We're unique" he stated shrugging a bit

"What do you mean by that?" She threatened

"Well.." he started already feeling a fight brewing "..we aren't exactly your average looking couple"

Jade shut her locker and crossed her arms then raised an eyebrow

"Yknow... like-uh- I'm a handsome Canadian boy with great fluffy hair" she raised her other eyebrow "and you're- and you're you"

"Keep talking you're doing great" she scoffed

"Well, you're all goth and stuff and most people who look at you wouldn't expect you to be as talented and smart and beautiful as you are" he finished smiling he could feel the tension growing more and more with every word he said so he quickly added "which is why I love you"

"Got any better reasons?" He asked really trying to diffuse all the tension

"Well for one we don't do that" jade spat, jutting her head towards the couple who were surprisingly still making out "they're gonna die from lack of oxygen"

For the next 3 minutes jade finished switching books and beck kept trying to think of other ways they were unique from other couples

"I can calm you down better than most boyfriends can their girlfriends"

Jade didn't like that reason because she though he meant she needed more calming down that other girlfriends

"We have nothing in common, like no common interests or anything"

She didn't like that reason either because she thought he was trying to hint that they should break up and that they weren't right for each other

After more reasoning beck quickly stopped because he heard the couple that had previously been by the lockers walking away from each other yelling that they hated each other and never wanted to see each other again

"The last way we're unique from other couples is that actually really love each other" beck tried, giving her a quick kiss

Jade liked that reason because it was the truth
