Over the following fortnight the pirates, with the help of the Gambusi, finished their repairs and restocked the Osprey. The night before the sailors were to depart there was a great celebration in which they all swore eternal friendship.
N'tibi took the opportunity to announce that she was passing on the mantle of chieftain to Wazu. Wazu in turn announced to the tribe that since M'boto's parents had both been killed in the first attack on the village, that he would take M'boto as his own son.

The next morning aboard the Osprey, Cartenio stood upon the upper deck regarding the crew.
"There are announcements to be made, hearties," said Cartenio, then continued, "Tonga, please come forward."
Tonga's crewmates pushed him roughly forward until he stood directly below Cartenio.
"Tonga, for your bravery and service to the Osprey, and our friends the Gambusi, I award you a full promotion to lieutenant aboard this ship, please join the other officers on the upper deck." Cartenio said authoritatively.Tonga's fellow sailors slapped his back in a congratulatory manner as he mounted the steps.
"We have one other major decision to make. We must choose a new captain." Cartenio looked down at the crew, "I say one captain is enough for most ships, but the Osprey is not most ships." He turned his gaze toward Grimm and Freyja, "Let us have two captains, Captain Grimm and Captain Freyja. What say you, men?"
"Aye!" shouted the men in acclaim. Grimm looked to Freyja, she only nodded, and Grimm stood forth.
Grimm looked to the crew with pride and gave the command, "Raise anchor and set sail eastward for Bartanis, and let the name of Osprey set terror in the hearts of all sailors!"

The End.
