You wake up in a dark and semi- familiar bedroom. You're dazed from sleep and it takes you a minute to place everything. You're back in your old home in Asgard and this is your old bedroom.

You light up a gas lantern that sits on your beside table and walk around your room. The walls are almost obscured by the rows and rows of books lining your walls. You walk along one wall and slide your hand across the spines of the books. You stop and pull one out at random. The spine is worn and the corners of the book are bend and frayed. The title says "Spells and Defenses: All You Need to Know".

Just as you open the book to a marked page, somethings pops against your window. You glance up at the noise. It happens again and this time you see a tiny pebble ricochet off the glass.

Shutting the book and sliding it back where it was on the shelf, you rush quietly over to the window and pull it open.

Loki is standing a few feet away, holding handful of rocks. He drops them as soon as he sees you looking at them.

"What are you doing", you hiss, holding the lantern out in front of you.

"I wanted to see you", Loki whispers back.

"You just saw me and few hours ago, Loki", you answer, "and why the hell were you chucking rocks at a window on the only floor of a one story house?"

"I wanted to see you again and it seemed more romantic than scaring you by staring in, hoping you would notice me."

You nod. A slight breeze goes by and a chill runs through you. "You must be cold standing out there. Do you want to come in?"

"No, I'm perfectly fine", he replies and adds, "Jotun- blood."

Loki takes a step forward and you can see his breath rising in clouds from his lips.

"If that's all, I'm exhausted and-"

"Wait", Loki interrupts you, moving a few more paces forward. He's close enough now that he's touching the window sill.

You can't help but glance down at him mouth once or twice. His next words come as a surprise and make the butterflies in your stomach whirl.

"I want you." And before you can say anything else, Loki's lips are pressing against yours. They're soft and pleasantly cool. You nearly drop the lantern out of shock.

You pull him in as close as you possibly can, but the fact that he's standing outside your window makes it hard for him to be any closer.

"Let me in", Loki mumbles against your lips.

You back up and Loki climbs through the window with all the grace and agility of a cat.

He shuts the window and turns to you.

"Remember all those nights we spent together in this room? Making forts and reading books", Loki asks, gazing around the room.

"I remember when I first realized that I fell for you", he says now turning to look at you.

Your breath catches and you can feel your heart beat in your throat... and somewhere quite a bit lower than that. "When was that", you manage to whisper.

"We were about ten years old. We built a fort out of pillows and sheets. You found string lights and hung them up inside. You made me go in the fort while you picked out books", Loki's standing close to you and his proximity makes your heart beat faster.

"You crawled in and started reading a fairytale about a princess that had been cursed into a hundred year sleep."

"Sleeping Beauty", you breathe.
