i am spellbound by the swell of obsidian waves
they frolic back and forth — in and out —
ebbing and flowing mellifluous symphoniesseesawing — alternating
to and fro they sing like nymphets that echo
between the ruptures of my spinei can feel the forget-me-nots blooming from
the pores of my honeycombed tongue
i can hear them — oh god i can hear them in my skullplease
make
it
quiet
againthe tide devours the flesh of my feet
onyx — graphite startling against the elysian moon
they sing from my irides gushing like two ravinesthey flow and splatter and seep down my jaw
threatening to shatter the dam sheltered by
inky cosmos lipsi am knee deep in an islet of carbon black now
the dam bursts against my sandpaper throat
with marine salted eyes i meld with the ocean
together — as one, we step into the void
it did not get any quieter.
