"As Salaam alaykum might i share my story with you, i have been Muslim for two years today!

Before I became Muslim I was very much into music and going to concerts. I partied and lived so care free, I put myself in so many situations that I look back on and wonder how did I live through that and not get killed or taken advantage of, only by the will of Allah i made it through such horrible times.

I was an aspiring model and was willing to use my body to get me what I wanted. I covered myself in tattoos and piercings, please know I am only saying this so when you see a person like that you will not over look their ability of being able to accept Islam. I decided at some point to get rid of everything I had and to leave my home and family to travel on foot across the US with a man who was very dear to me...he is now my husband. We travelled and met and stayed with some Muslims for quite some time. My husband and I began learning Islam. I was very rude at first towards the whole idea... I acted like I knew everything. My husband was really into learning Islam but I just sat back and listened to the men's discussions. I then heard that all the Prophets are the same as in Christianity and that really made me happy to hear because I grew up as a Christian. My husband ended up accepting Islam and when I went out with him to lunch at the masjid they asked if I could wear hijab. Out of respect for all the Muslim men and my husband I put it on. Since that day I never took the hijab off and wore it every day after that and my heart opened up to Islam. I started looking online and watching youtube videos and when I eventually opened up the Quran and started reading Al-Baqarah I couldn't control the over flowing emotions Allah subhana wa tala blessed me with. He guides whom he wills. Never look down on anyone. You never know whose heart may be inspired by Islam and the Quran." - Jacqueline
