CHAPTER 5
EUNNA’s POV
Saturday na at nag-aayos na ako para sa pupuntahan namin ni Lewy. I am wearing a simple skinny jeans and a mint off-shoulder top. While waiting for him, I scrolled thru the SNS. I came across a post from a random page named “Fake Ficus”. It’s about me and Lewy. Angtagal magloading ng attached picture kaya sinave ko nalang muna yung post.
Pagkalipas ng ilang minuto ay may nagdoorbell. It must be Lewy since sabi niya susunduin niya ako dito. Pagkabukas ko ay nakita ko siya wearing a mint shirt and jeans. Matching colors? Lol. Pumunta na kami sa mall and inuna na namin puntahan yung uniforms at sinabing balikan nalang daw namin mamayang 4 dahil hindi pa daw na-papack.
“Dalawang oras pa ang hihitayin natin. Wanna do something?” tanong ni Lewy
“Arcade?” suggest ko at sinang-ayunan naman niya. Pagkatapos namin bumili ng tickets ay una naming nilaro ang basketball. Surprisingly natalo ko pa siya.
“Ugh, I suck at basketball” Lewy said.
“Really? Your name is Braun right? I thought you are full of brawn instead of brains“ I laughed at him.
“HAHA so funny” he replied with a serious tone. I rolled my eyes at him.
“Mood killer” We tried so many games and nakita ko yung maliit na open karaoke sa sulok kaya hinila ko siya doon.
“Can you sing?” I asked.
“Of course I can, Baka mainlove ka pa sakin” mayabang na pahayag niya at kinuha niya yung songbook para pumili ng kanta. He pressed the button and prepared the song. The song started and the tune is very familiar.
I giggled when I realized what song he was gonna to sing. I know that song, I think we all do. It’s I See the Lights from the Disney movie “Tangled”. When Eugene’s part in the song came Lewy stared at me. Weird pft.
“All those day chasing down a daydream
All those years living in a blur
All that time never truly seeing

I’m where I’m meant to go”
After the song I realized na hindi na lang pala ako yung nanonood. Mukhang nakuha ni Lewy yung atensyon ng mga tao especially girls. Everyone clapped at him. Na-awkwardan ata siya kaya hinila na niya ako paalis doon.
“I look cool singing right?” mayabang na tanong nito.
“No. May pa pikit-pikit ka pang nalalaman.”
“Why I See the Lights?” I asked.
“It’s for you. Don’t you like Disney?” he answered.
“It’s okay. So where should we go next? I’m starving and we still have thirty minutes before 4pm”.
“We can go grab a drink. Let’s go”
We arrived at the milktea café and quickly ordered. I ordered a caramel nut frappe while he only ordered an iced espresso. Naupo na kami at hinintay ang orders namin.
“Oh wait I remembered something.” I connected my phone to the café’s wifi and looked for the post I saw earlier.
“What ?” tanong ni Lewy.
“I saw a random post earlier about us. Hmmm…Found it!” I was taken aback when the picture finally appeared.
“Let me see.” He sat beside me and took my phone.
“This is us right? Kailan nila nakuhanan yan?” Tanong niya. It is a picture of us infront of my house.
“Lewy can you check the page?” tumango lang si Lewy. The whole page is full of posts about us at lahat ng pictures ay tulad ng picture kanina. Merong naglalakad kami parehas at meron din nung magkasama kami sa library.
Napatigil kami nung tinawag na yung pangalan namin.
“Eunna may bagong post sa page”
“Agad?” I unlocked my phone at pumunta na sa page. Yung recent post is picture naming dalawa ni Lewy na nasa arcade kami na kakakuha lang kanina habang naglalaro kami ng basketball.
“Lewy.” Tawag ko sakanya.
“Let’s go?” Tanong niya saakin at tumango ako bilang sagot.
Kinuha na namin yung uniforms at pumunta na kami ng school para ilagay yung uniforms at umuwi na.
“Bye Eunna. Thank you for this day.”
“Thank you din. See you on Monday. Bye!” Paalam ko at umalis na siya.
I’m not that scared about those “stalkers” atleast alam ko na kung bakit may mga article na kung ano-ano sa website ng school. They are just highschool students. It’s still disturbing though.
