Virgil knew what it was like to switch sides. He had done so himself. So it was natural for him to spot it when the naturally cheery aspect started to do it himself. He thought back on that as he tried to find an activity to help stop it.

~~O~~

Virgil poked his head into Patton's room. "Hey Patton." He saw Patton and frowned. Patton had told Virgil to get him for family activities weather they were planned or not. And every time he poked his head in Patton was playing with his stuffed animals, cleaning or being an excitable fluff ball in some way.
So why was Patton looking at the ceiling frowning?
Virgil knocked to announce his presence to his fun and loving father figure. "Patton." He said carefully. His voice soft with worry.
Patton jumped and put a smile on his face. "Hey there Kiddo! What's up?
"We were planning to do a family game night. Are you ok?"
Patton stood up and walked over. "What do you mean? Of course I'm ok, why wouldn't I be."
"You were staring at your ceiling with a frown on your face." Virgil shook his head. "You never do that. Are you sure everything's good?"
Patton smiled. "I'm ok. I just felt like doing nothing. So that's what I did. I'm ok though."
"If you say so-" He saw something change. He paled even more as he realized that Patton had no idea what was up.
"Virgil? Hey Kiddo are you ok? You look like you've seen a ghost."
   Virgil nodded weakly. "I-I'm fine."
"No you aren't. You're paler then usual and you're stuttering. What's wrong?"
Virgil ignored him as he looked at difference. "I've got to go to my room. See you soon." He rushed to his room. An orange gleam had shown in Patton's eyes.

~~O~~

Virgil looked at the options he had left. One of them was to take Patton to a dog park. That was something Virgil knew his pawsome father figure would love.
Suddenly someone knocked on his door. Virgil jumped and went to awnser it.
"Hey Kiddo. You ok?" Patton asked. He looked really worried. Behind him Logan and Roman looked confused. They knew Virgil would sometimes skip doing an activity but he always told them why whenever he could.
Virgil looked at them. He said nothing but it was clear something was scaring him. He looked worriedly at Patton.
Logan spoke up next. "Can we at least hear about whatever is troubling you? After all it is of the upmost importance that we know if something is going on." Virgil knew Logan was right. But he also knew that there was no way he was telling Patton about this.
He took a deep breath. "I-I can't tell P-Patton this, b-but it shouldn't hurt t-to tell you two."
"Son." Virgil winced at the father figures voice. He looked down. He couldn't stand the look Patton was giving him. "I-If you think that's what's best."
When the darker trait looked up he regretted it. The lightest, fluffiest, and kindest of them all, seemed to be close to tears. He ran to his room and with every step Patton took the worse Virgil felt.
The other two looked after Patton, stunned. Logan was the first to break out of it. He looked at Virgil with a cold fury in his eyes.
"What did Patton do to deserve that?" He asked. Virgil looked down. "I-I didn't mean-"
"To dismiss Patton from the situation and hurt his feelings? Well guess what? You just did."
Roman turned back. "And you expect us to trust you? If you're willing to do that to Patton then I don't want to see what kind of strife you'd cause to us."
"G-Guys." Virgil was crying now. I-I'm sorry. I-If Patton knew-"
"Knew what? You're animal form? You're secrets? What you make us fear?" Roman asked.
Virgil gave up. The other two wouldn't listen to him right now. He nearly ran back into his room but he knew he deserved every insult they had.
So he sat there and took it. When they were finished he looked back up and gasped. Roman has a dark red gleam in his eye and Logan had a black gleam in his.
He paled and started muttering. The other two looked satisfied with the fear in Anxiety's eyes. But then they heard something that caught them by surprise.
   "Not all three of you."
