Life/Death

Life, it comes and it goes,

Death, to which we face agony and our woes,

Life, we live it until it's taken,

Death, only upon our departure, do our souls awaken,

Life, for granted we often take,

Death, cries and excuses we often make,

Life, a time for love and a new beginning,

Death, a time of pain, now an ending,

Life, to a chef, a new recipe to cook,

Death, to a reader, another ending to a book,

Life, Like a flower, it blooms as it grows,

Death, then winter comes, wilting as it snows,

Life, Lively with many around,

Death, Lonely without even a sound,

Life, raise a glass for cheers,

Death, mourn and shed your tears,

Life, a breeze in the wind,

Death, every gust comes to an end,

Life, a time of joy and galore,

Death, now history, no longer more.
