Taylor open the door and invite Teddy inside she didn't need to offer him a seat he said after greeting her,
"Would you like a drink?" Taylor ask
"Yeah sure" Teddy said relaxing back on the settee, Taylor brought him a scotch having a cup of coffee for herself, she tried not to make herself comfortable within a conversation other than what she want to talk to him about,
"Teddy I call you over to tell you that" she pause to what look she got on her face it was something serious,

"It's not, what happen what did I do wrong?"
" It's not you Teddy you've been sweet but I'm not in love with you"
Teddy nod, nodding twice
"I'm sorry Teddy but it's no sense of having you and can't be with you the way you would like"

"I hope you do i really don't want us to be enemies"
"No Taylor of course not" he smirk taking her hand, "this guy this new guy I hope he makes you happy for I couldn't"
Taylor laugh hug hug him, "Thank you for being such a sweet guy"
He nod once more they share another hug he finished his drink and Taylor walk him to his car,
He barely left when Brett came to see her, stay the night drove her to work the next morning,

Taylor nod walking away leaving him she caught up with the others who ask the same thing

Ruth ask looking as the car drove out the court yard, "And he didn't came to say hello" she twitch her nose Taylor excuse herself to use the rest room then join them in court she hurry home after work for she had plans with Brett, she just got out the shower when he came and they make out spending the night again she left him on the couch and catch a cab to the office they were growing much closer now,
Brett was in the jewelry store looking at rings wedding rings

"I'm thinking of proposing to Taylor"
"What!?" Keith said with a laugh, "So you and Taylor finally getting it on once more, I was to ask the other day if something went down" Brett walk away from him, Keith follow him "you don't withheld details like such from a friend"
"Brett avoid him and inquire about a ring, he then thought maybe he should design the ring to his own liking, he got home and went through some fancy design he knew he shouldn't be fusing about the ring for he haven't yet ask Taylor they were good so far and besides he haven't broke off with Ruth, he haven't even call her since he saw her Miss call,
Saturday they got together for a game nothing big they later hang out just him and the guys while the girls spend the night at Stefanie, they haven't had the idea that Taylor broke it with Teddy, until Rick ask how it was with then and he reveal it,
Not even Brett knew she did thinking it was the right time to do the same with Ruth he got off the seat and decided to leave he call Ruth to meet up with her at her place, she got off the couch

"That was Brett, he want to talk to me, it sounds like it's serious" the other three look at Taylor

"we'll see you on Monday" Nicole told her she walk to the door and Taylor got up walk to the window watching her until the car drove out, she came and sat down brew hard

Ruth think back on the time when one of the girls had said she date a tall guy who has blue eyes ocean blue eyes and dirt brown hair, she said it sounded like she was decribing her tall guy and to think of it it was so they did have something she's the girl he base most of his songs about the same girl who he dated for many years, it's no wonder she and Oscar knew each other so well,

She nod he left her felling sad a bit for she was expecting more time with him,
Taylor didn't see or heard from Brett no time on Sunday but didn't think to call him after their lunch break they got together Rick, Nicole, Mel, Luke, Taylor, Stefanie and Teddy had join them he came and sat next to Taylor who smile at him they ordered coffee and Taylor has a milk shake,
"Hi everyone!" Ruth said sitting down she was facing Taylor she call for a coffee and a slice of banana bread, as they Converse about work,

"What for?" Taylor ask couldn't think of a reason why she was congratulating her,
"Brett told me you two are getting back together"
"What!?" Rick ask surprised to hear that Teddy look at Taylor with wide eyes,
"You guys didn't know?" Ruth said
Keith look at Taylor then to Stefanie and widened his eyes,
"you and Brett?" Teddy ask
Taylor shrugged with a nod "It's true we're considering it, it's obvious I'm still in love with him we've been together for a long time on seeing each other again we realized it wasn't over but stronger and we do want to make it right" she said getting up Teddy watch her as she stood up, "I never wanted to hurt anyone but we can't control what the heart wants" she bid them goodbye them left Teddy got up and follow her she stop to talk before catching a ride home,
Brett was waiting for her when she got to her place and they drove out to have a drink and dance for some time it's been a long night but after making out it became a even longer night, they both were tired in the morning,
Taylor left him on the couch on her way to work he was on her couch still only in a different position and watching Christmas movies,
"Still?" Taylor ask coming to kiss him holding back his head kissing from his forehead to his lips lingering a while,

She giggle and come around the settee to sit on his lap,

"She announce it today in front of everyone"
Brett laugh kissing her, " hungry?" He ask
"like I would eat a wild boar"
They both grin he lead her to the kitchen and they have dinner together they later make out, and fall a sleep in each other arms
The week went by smooth and easy Brett and Taylor became more loving they didn't mind being seen together,
Friday night they hang out together at a bar, Brett was singing and they were in the line of supporters, he got through a few of his hit songs

And few others Taylor think him to be the hottest male in country right now and she could name a few hot guys who sing country she knew Brett has a voice that is hard to miss she remembered that first time hearing one of his song on country radio, she was on her way to work when she heard the song she didn't have to look at the radio to know that it was him, his voice speak to her she got goose bumps all over she had was to pull to the side of the road and really listen, she was happy for him and since then he had grown in to the music business more than he was in to base ball but like he loves her he love them both and she can't wait to spend the rest of their life together,
Brett came from the stage after putting his guitar away he still hold the Mike in his hand as he took her hand taking her back to the stage "Baby I want to think destiny has brought us together and I'm over joy with this I've missed you so much were in a period of our lives where it seems to make sense for us getting back together I've already lost you once and I'm not making the same mistake again" he said getting on his knee, Taylor felt tears
Stefanie look at Keith and to Mel who sat crying silent tears, "oh this is so cute" she said

Taylor suddenly started spinning it was like this for her she couldn't wait for it but it happens and it shocked her surprised her but it was joy to her heart,
"Yes I'll marry you" she said he kiss her and the room erupted in cheers it was like music to Taylor's ears as they cheer them on, she was so excited
They got through the staging and the engagement, then they hang out it was only for some short time which most of it was spent congratulating Taylor and Brett, Teddy had already started dating Nicky another lawyer she work down by children's court section Taylor wonder if it was something in the making and she admitted that she was in love with him before, they welcome her to the group and she fit in as if belong, Ruth didn't join up with them but later on she came walking up to them with a guy she was towering over and she was wearing a pair of heels making her nine feet taller than he was
"Now that is a sight" Rick said and Keith and Luke giggle,
" Hey you guys" she said
"Hey" they answer
"I was over there and thought I would say hello to you guys, I didn't came to stay"

"yeah and feel free to join us for lunch" Mel said
