I can't hide you in cave,
I can't close you in a cage,
I have to let you fly,
But I can't let you burn.

A 'friend' of mine misunderstood the intended meaning of this poem. (Poetry is not concrete, it means different things to each reader, but bear with me.) My 'friend' thought that it had a violent meaning. I can assure you, it is not violent. In my poem, the speaker is desperately trying to protect a loved one, (not a romantic interest, just a loved one). The speaker can't imagine the idea of the loved one 'burning'. That is all.
Good bye again,
