Now that we knew that Mia was the golden wolf, we had a very strong advantage in what was coming, and from what the Moon Goddess told her, we need to expect the unexpected.

Xander called a pack meeting with the top three warriors, Thomas and Mia, and our third in command, Nathan and his mate Natalie. We also invited Ali and Aiden, which included Tessa, because they from the pack that we would be in war with. Nathan was sitting next to me, looking worn out and tired. He was a man in his early forties, and he has seven kids, including a newborn.

"You know, if you ever need any help with Carly I can help," I offered.

I absolutely adored young children. No more words.

"She's a basket full. Are you sure?" Nathan asked

"Nate, you've known me since I was born. I'd you ever need help with Carly or any of the other kids, ask me," I warned, but not in my scary, I'm-going-to-kick-your-ass way, but in a you-don't-need-to-be-scared-to-ask kind of way.

"If we need help we'll let you know. Jasmine helps out a lot during the day, but during the night it's all Natalie and I," he said, looking very tired again. Jasmine was their daughter and Tessa's best friend, and Natalie was his mate.

I offered him a smile before turning to everyone else. "As you know, a new pack member was killed recently. Her old pack, The Black Woods, has decided to declare war against our pack. We have the two siblings of the girl who died with us, who will help us win the battle," Xander explained. Everyone was staring up at him, listening intently as to not miss a single detail.

"We also have the golden wolf on our side." Everyone gasped and started looking around.

"Who?!" One of the Warriors shouted out.

"Thomas has recently found his mate, and she is the golden wolf," Xander said. Mia stood up and looked around at everyone. "Everyone, this is Mia, your beta female."

We discussed plans and tactics for hours and I almost fell asleep but then they started talking about fighting and both my ears were listening contently.

"We need to find ways to surprise them. We can't just full on charge and hit them head on," I started. I was the leader when it came to fighting and training.

For the next two hours we discussed strategies with the war. I think we got a quite a lot of good ideas too.

"Xan, come on. We spent all day stressing over this. Lets go pull some pranks on Thomas," I begged, trying to get my mate out of his office chair.

"Taylor this is serious. Mia said to expect the unexpected. I can't risk anyone getting hurt because we're not prepared," he said, looking up at me.

I leaned down and pressed my lips to his, crawling into his lap. He started to kiss me back immediately.

I grabbed his cheeks with my hands and pulled his face closer as he wrapped his arms tightly around my waist. His tongue swiped across my lips, and I let him in right away, not feeling like being a tease.

I pulled my mouth away from his, gasping for breath. "We need to stop now if you don't want me to take you right now," Xander growled, his eyes pitch black.

"I'm ready," I whispered, my voice hoarse. Xanders eyes seemed to darken even more if that's possible. He stood up, forcing my to wrap my legs around his waist as he rushed out of his office and into our apartment.

He dropped me straight on the bed and pressed his lips to mine harshly. I didn't mind, seeing as his wolf had already taken over completely and mine probably would soon.
