Russia, US, Norway, Denmark, Canada have one aim
In Arctic circle, they want a claim.
Arctic is a zone covered with ocean and ice
As there is no territorial right, will it pay a heavy price?
In priceless resources, it is rich
Happily provides, a market niche!
Global Warming is causing, the ice to melt
For Commercial exploitation, time is right, it is felt.
Antarctic due to 1959 treaty, is protected from the wrath
But through Arctic, trade routes have already laid it’s path.
Of course with Amazon forest, of ‘Global Commons’ it is a part
Greedy nations, will be very difficult to thwart!
It is vital for our survival, will be ever discern?
Or like always face the other way around, showing no concern !
