Watch Your Step

I've fallen

In so many ways

Not only in love

but in pain

in sorrow

in time

down 3 steps

And falling in love is great

but the other ways we fall

they suck

they hurt

they make our hearts bleed

they make us cry

they make us feel ways we never thougth we could feel.

But "things get better", right?

the pain stops

the tears stop falling

the stairs stop making you fall on your face.

but when?

when will the pain end?

when will everything that makes us want to die stop?

well, for some, it never does.

I go on chat roooms alot.

And I once met a 42 year old.

now he could've been a pedophile, 

but he wasnt

he just a man who was so done with everything he was about to put a bullet through his brain.

he had lost his job, his wife, his kids, his home, everything.

which made me think.

maybe it doesn't end

maybe we always hurt 

and cry

and fall down those stupid stairs

but you know what?

eventually, things got better for him.

we stayed friends and I am happy to inform you he is back on his feet.

So, I guess things do get better. 

you just have to be patient

and watch your step.
