1st pov
To be honest I never thought the day would come when I would go to Kathrine for answers
Me Elena and Caroline walked through the woods me and Elena carrying bags although mine was filled with clothes and had a few scented candles mostly because I love scented candles and I figured they would help while Elena had Kathrines family history book and some blood and a few other things
"So tell everyone that I wasn't feeling well so I went home from school and Lydia was worried so she came with me." Elena told Caroline
I could practically smell the anxiety coming off Caroline in waves as I reach over and grabbed her hand lacing her fingers with mine she looks at me and I give her a reassuring smile
"I can't believe I agreed to this I am a terrible liar." Caroline states trying to get out of covering for us Elena however takes all this in stride "And keep Stefan busy I don't want him to know what we're up to." Elena says gesturing to me and her with one hand
Her words make Caroline even more nervous "And I'm even worse at duplicity, and you guys know this." However Elena wasn't having any of Caroline's excuses "But you managed to keep me and Lydia occupied while she paid Stefan a visit." Elena states and Caroline winces "Yeah because she threatened me.Not that I'm saying you guys should use that as a tactic! Its just...Stefans gonna see right through me."
I turn and swing the bag I had up on my shoulder before grabbing Caroline's shoulders she looked at me a little startled "Listen Care everything is going to be fine okay? Me and Elena just wanna see what info we can get from Kathrine." Caroline takes a deep breath "But what if what she tells you is a lie?" She asks me and I shrug "Then its a lie its not the end of the world." I tell her and Caroline nods
"Okay." With that we head down into the tunnel Elena almost tripping if it weren't for me and Caroline catching her
As we step onto the bottom floor my eyes land on the door into the tomb and I can't help but shutter in unease as magic seemed to seep from the door the sensation made my chest begin to heat up and tingle
Me and Caroline step forward and I grab hold of one side of the door while she does the same and together we lift the door out of the way and place it against the wall Caroline could've done it herself but it's easier with help
We wait a minute but nothing happens "Kathrine?" I call down the tunnel unable to help the slight giddy feeling that I had at seeing her again
Shuffling was heard until Kathrine appeared in the doorway looking tired,dirty, and definitely hungry "Hello Lydia." Kathrine purred seductively her voice more raspy than usual probably because she's starving then her eyes land on Caroline and Elena and she immediately glares at them "You come to watch me wither away?" She asks Elena
"Goodbye Caroline." Kathrine sneered at Caroline who looked to me and Elena for reassurance once more and at our nods she turned and vamp sped out of the cave
I look back to Kathrine who is already staring at me I raise an eyebrow in question "Does Stefan know you two are here?" I glance to Elena before shrugging "We brought you stuff." I tell Kathrine as I walk a little closer to the entrance
Kathrine suddenly frowns at me "Hold on." I stop what I'm doing and so does Elena we both stare at her with confusion "Somethings different about you....your a vampire now." Kathrine says her eyes widened subtly as she stared at me I shrug shifting uncomfortably
"Why are you a vampire?" She asks me and I sigh "When we got kidnapped my neck got snapped and I somehow had vampire blood in my system so now I'm here." Kathrine hummed before turning her gaze to Elena "So you two came to bribe me....What is that you want?" She asked turning her gaze back to me
