I wake to Jordan shuffling around in a chest. I look down at him. "What are you doing?" I ask. He looks over at me. "Just trying to find something to fix a cut with..." He says. I stand and walk over to him. "Where is it?" I ask. He holds out his arm. A large gash goes from the middle of his forearm to his wrist. "Oh, Jordan, what did you do?!" I ask. I grab his arm and heal it. He looks up at me. "Awesome!" He says, grinning. I smirk. He pulls me into his arms. His stomach growls. I laugh. "Breakfast time." He says. He reaches into a different chest and pulls out two apples. He tosses one at me and I catch it. He bites out of his. I pull out my pocket knife and cut mine into slices. "Whatcha want to do?" He asks. I shrug. He pulls out a bunch of tiny wooden statues, setting them on the table.

We played chess for a few hours. I won three times, Jordan won six. He laughs as he knocks my king of the board. Make that seven. I scowl. I stand up and walk over to the bed, sitting down. He walks over and pushes me backwards, hovering over me. I stare into his eyes. "Are you mad?" He asks. I shake my head slightly. He leans in and I close the gap. My lips touch his softly. He pulls back and stares at me. He moves off and walks away. "I'm sorry." He says. I sit up. I look at my hands. "No, I'm sorry, I kissed you. I shouldn't have, I know the rules." I say. He frowns. "Why can't the rules be different?" He asks. I look at him. His cheeks turn pink. I stand and walk over to him. "I could talk to Mianite about it, see if he could change it. Dianite doesn't follow the rules anyway." I say. He looks at me. "How does he not follow them?" He asks. "Ever wondered why there wasn't any female Dianitee's?" I ask. He frowns in disgust. "Yeah." I say. He moves closer to me. "Could you ask...?" He questions. I nod. He puts his hands on my waist. His face is only inches away. "Thank you." He says. His lips touch mine. I lean in a little more, deepening the kiss. He pulls back and puts his forehead on mine. I smile. There's a knock on the door upstairs. He looks up. "Stay here. I'll be back in a minute." He says. He pecks my cheek and runs down the hall. I sit on the bed and pick up my EnderPod. Yelling erupts upstairs. I grab my weapons and run towards the exit. I nock an arrow and press the button. The doors open and I run through. Tom has Jordan pressed against a wall in a chokehold. I lift up my bow. "Where are you hiding her?!" Tom shouts. I graze one of his arms and he lets Jordan go. Jordan bends over, catching his breath. Tom steps back, looking at me. His eyes fill with fury. I nock another arrow and shoot the bagginess of his T-shirt. It pins to the wall behind him. "Push him against the wall." I say. Jordan rams into him and his back is pressed against the wall. I shoot four more places, pinning him there. I nock one more arrow. "You can let him go, Jordan." I say. A mixture of fear and anger swirls on Tom's face. Jordan steps in front of me, pushing my bow downwards. Blood drips down Tom's arm. "Evil never wins, Tom." I say. Tom looks at me. "I told you to stay." Jordan says over his shoulder. "Now is not the time for your petty concerns." I say. Tom smirks. "She just found you, and yet you're already arguing like an old married couple. How adorable." Tom says, laughing slightly. I raise my bow again. Jordan pushes it down and looks back at me. "He's my friend, Dianitee or not, he is. And you'll just have to accept that." He says. I frown. "Fine. But your Priest is hearing about this." I say. I swap my bow for my sword and stand behind him. "Make sure he doesn't have any weapons." I say. He pats him down and pulls out two knives. He hands them to me and I stuff them in my back pocket. Tom struggles against the arrows and one of them snaps. He looks at me and moves forwards. Jordan's back presses to my chest and Tom stops. I look around for something to shackle Tom. A rope hanging out of a chest catches my eye. I run over and grab it, then walk back to Jordan. "No, no, no. There will be no tying up of the Toms." Jordan says. I look up at him. "He just tried to choke you, and yet you want him to be loose and near you and I? I am a woman of justice, but this man has made the scores uneven. The tables will turn, but not without some participation." I say. He looks back at Tom. He frowns. "Okay, but be careful." He says. I nod. Tom struggles against the arrows. I sheathe my sword and grab his hands, tying them behind his back. He looks at me. "Dianite will be proud when I bring you to him." He whispers. I pull out an arrow from the wall. "And when is this event planned?" I ask. He scowls. I smirk and pull another arrow out of the wall. Jordan grabs the ends of the ropes and tugs. I pull the last remaining arrows and look at Jordan. He tosses me one of the ends and opens the door. Tom walks through. We stand ten feet away on either side of Tom. When we're about half way there, Tom jerks on the ropes. I pull him back and he stumbles. "If I need to dislocate something, I will, Tom. Whether Jordan likes it or not." I say. He grumbles. We continue to The Priest's house. The Priest walks out of the log entryway, and looks at us. He frowns. "What has he done now?" He asks. Tom shuffles his feet. The Priest walks towards us. "He attempted to choke me in the demand that I divulge the location of Ianite." Jordan answers. Tom moves towards Jordan. I yank my end of the rope, making Tom fall backwards, landing on his rear. "What I said earlier still stands. And if you move one inch closer to Jordan, I'll tear out your throat." I growl. He struggles against the ropes. The Priest looks at me. "Lady Ianite, I must apologize for the poor behavior of one of our group." He says. I shake my head. "It's not your fault, sometimes things are out of your control." I say. He nods. "Thank you for your understanding." He says. He turns to Tom. "I'll take him. You better get back to your hiding place, Dianite will be here soon." He says. I nod. Jordan takes the rope from me and hands them to The Priest. He puts a hand on my lower back and guides me through the tunnel. "Why didn't you stay downstairs? I told you what to do for a reason." He says. I look at him. "You were in a choke-hold and I saved you. And yet you're questioning my actions, again?" I ask. He frowns. "You are on Dianite's most wanted list, I wanted to keep you safe." He says. I sigh. We walk the rest of the way back to his house in silence. He opens the door and we walk in. I lean my weapons against the wall. He draws all the curtains in the house. "If anybody comes, you dive into my vault." He says, walking back into the living room. I sit on his couch and rub my temples. "Okay." I say. He sits across from me and his EnderPod beeps. He pulls it out of his pocket. "'These things are awesome!' From Tucker." He reads out loud. I smile. He types and then puts it back in his pocket. I lie down and listen to the waves crashing against the cliff outside. "Can we go get a few things from my house? If I'm staying here long-term, I want to have some things to tinker around with." I ask. He looks at me. He sighs and looks down. "Yeah, I suppose." He says. I sit up and look at him. "But we're going to need a couple of horses. Faster transportation means a lesser chance of Dianite finding you." He stands and grabs a backpack off a hook near the door. I get up and walk over to him. He throws it over his shoulder. "How far is the EnderPod's reach?" He asks. I grab my weapons. "Anywhere." I say. I strap my sheath on my belt and put my quiver over my shoulders. I ready an arrow and Jordan opens the door. We walk out and look around. Nothing harmful is anywhere to be seen, so I lower my bow, putting the arrow back in my quiver. I put my bow over my shoulders and look at Jordan. He looks backwards at me and then towards The Priest's house. "I have a faster transportation option if you'd like to use that." I say. He looks back at me and raises an eyebrow. "If it's a dragon, it might be too obvious." He says. I frown. "Fine! Have it your way." I say. He smiles and grabs my hand. "Drago would be disappointed, though." I add. He kisses my temple. "I'm sure he'll live." He says. I lean my head on his shoulder. "Yeah." I say.
