"Get over here you brat!" screamed Jack's abusive mom.

"How about no," Jack replied.

"Don't make me come over there with a whip," she replied. Jack hated his family. His mom died in a car crash and his dad was murdered. All of the rest of his family was too far away to take care of him. That's how he got stuck with these parents. Allie and Jason. They were both alcoholics and they might be on drugs but Jack didn't know that much yet.

Jack is a 12 year old boy with short dark brown hair and is relatively tall. He has a decent build for his age and has been with these fake parents since he was 10. Those couple of weeks were awful for Jack because both his parents had died in the same week and then he was with Allie and Jason. So bad.

Jack knew that he had to run now. He had been beaten with that whip so many times and he didn't know if he could stand another. He needed to get out there. It didn't matter how but he had to. He was really questioning how he has made it this long.

He could hear the footsteps getting closer to his bedroom in the attic. He had no choice but to leave out the window. He was done with this bullcrap. He grabbed the baseball bat from before his parents deaths and smashed the window as hard as possible. It dented a little bit. He swung at it again doing a little more damage this time. There were multiple cracks in the window coming from one place in the center. He could hear Allies steps getting closer. She was coming up the ladder to the attic now.

He could see her flimsy horrible looking body. She had a very wide body and a chubby face with short uneven brown hair above her shoulders. She was relatively tall for her age but way too overweight. If you saw her in public you'd think she was a wall on legs.

"WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?!!!" She screamed.

Jack didn't care anymore. He was going to do what he wanted. "I'm getting out of here!" Jack yelled back as he swung one last time at the window. It smashed into a million pieces and all of them flew out the window and into the room.

"No!!!!" Allie screamed as Jack jumped out the window. Jack was maneuvering around the house to run away when the front door opened.

It was Jason, and he had his gun in his hand. And he was aiming right for Jack's forehead. Everything was silent and still. Jack didn't know what to do but run.

"You can't run now," Jason said, "You're too late." and he pulled the trigger of his pistol.
