Broken

It all happened when I was nine...
It's hard to look back when our family was so happy. I remember looking forward to coming home from school. I remember the bus would stop at our farm and people would wish they were me skipping through that field of daisies to get to the beautiful white three story mansion where there are horses every where. It was my paradise. There was me(Ariana), my two sisters(Cindy and Vanessa), my older brother(Jacob) and my parents(Rachael and Gregory) our whole family had horse riding in our blood and we each had our own. I had Cocoa a stroppy chocolate brown mare, Cindy had Chloe a pretty palomeno thoroughbred,Vanessa had Lexy a Georgeous dapple grey Andalusian, Jacob had Toby a very tall handsome bay warm blood gelding, Mother had a beautiful grey Arabian mare whose name was serenity, and Dad had a giant black warm blood stallion called Duke. We all adored each of our horses and each of us had a special bond with them. I started riding when I was three and was learning to jump and free ride when I was six so it was the perfect place for me to grow up on. we would hack our horses out a lot, until that treturous day. Where we lived it was cold and in the winters it often snowed but that would never stop us from riding out. But one day when the snow lay thick on the hills we decided to go for a picnic around the well. So we set out. I remember that we had to go across a river to get to it and years before dad had made a wooden bridge. Mum and dad had made me stay on the bridge while the others crossed because I had never like crossing the bridge until I knew it was safe. I had begged them not to go because I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomache. But they went any way. They were nearly over but I heard the sound I had always dreaded: 'CRAAACK'
The bridge caved in and with it my family. I screamed out desperately for help but they were being washed away to fast and soon they were taken under. They were gone. Gone. That unforgiving river took there lives and with it my heart...
