"right, so before you die, what do you wanna do first?" michael asked.

"can we go travel around the world?"

"you know we can't do that in a day, right?"

"r-right."

"i'm joking! of course you can!"

"really?" she asked, her mouth shaped like an O.

"yeah, i think." he answered, scratching the back of his head.

she slapped his head, giggling quietly. "you think? then can i have some fudge ice cream? i'm kinda hungry."

michael nodded, a smile on his face. it's only been two days, and he already loved hanging out with her.

he had been smiling a lot ever since he started hanging out with her. her laugh is so contagious, her smile is fucking gorgeous (at least that's what he thought) and she's amazing. michael oh michael, what has she done to you?

******

"let's start with the simple things first," she told michael, a wide grin on her face.

"okay, what do you wan-"

"a kitten. i want a kitten." she said, her eyes shining brightly.

michael sighed, he couldn't resist her. so he nodded and grabbed her to the nearest pet store.

as they walked in, michael couldn't help but notice the smile on her face. not a funny one, but an excited smile. she walked around the pet store, looking at several kittens while clapping her hands like a little kid. michael found it adorable as she was.

once michael paid for the kittens (yes, she bought two) he watched as she looked at them with love in her eyes. for a split second, michael thought she was staring at him with those eyes.

maybe not.

******

her phone rang loudly, making michael look at it with confusion on his face. he picked it up, and read the caller id.

luke hemmings.

luke hemmings.

luke hemmings.

he was one of the devils and michael knew him. in fact, they were enemies. and they still are. apparently he and luke fell in love with a girl named kate, and they promised each other to never cast a spell on her so she would fall in love with one of them. luke broke the promise, casting a spell on kate as soon as michael left the room. ever since then, michael despised luke.

to make it easier, michael hated lucifer.

he left the phone ringing on the table, letting her answer him later. he wanted to talk to her and get closer, so she wouldn't just be nice because he was a devil.

so when she came back, they had a friendly talk, not realizing the figure that stood near the coffee shop window, watching every move carefully with envy in their eyes.
