Dreams mean nothing in real life

Adrianna was in class. Math. Zoe was on her left and Zack was on her right. Suddenly the door opened and a shilouette appeared in the doorway.

Adrianna shook her head. It wasn't exactly Deja vu but it was close enough.

Zack, the one closer to the door, smiled. "No way." he said standing. He walked to the door and welcomed him. Adrianna frowned.

"Who...?" she asked Zoe, prepared to see Zoe staring at the door with dislike. Everything else was backwards, right?

To her surprise, Zoe was bent over the top of her desk, cranning her neck. "I don't know but he's CUTE Adrianna!"

Adrianna who by now had decided her dream was just a dream, bent over her desk to see the guy.

Wow.

Cute didn't cover it.

Sun kissed skin with emerald green eyes and the blackest hair Adrianna had ever seen.

Wow.

Oh. I already said that.

The teacher who seemed to have finally noticed where his students attention was walked to the door. After some words, the three males walked to the front of the class.

"Okay, I'd like you all to meet Chase Jackson. Mr. Jackson is a transfer student and I excpect you all to - you know what nevermind. You're all old enough to figure it out. Chase grab a seat."

Chase raised a brow and took seat next to Adrianna.

Zoe whimpered.

"Hey!" Zack exclaimed. "That's my seat!"

"Chill Zack. Besides..." Chase slung an arm around Adrianna's shoulders, "She wants me to sit here. Don't you?" He turned to Adrianna and smiled, revealing Adrianna's one weakness. Dimples.

However, before Adrianna could turn into mush, she realized something.

"You look really familiar." She stated causing smile to falter and his dimples to disappear. Aww...

"He should..." Zack said having given up getting his seat back. He was sitting on the seat in front of Adrianna and was facing them fully. Apparently Mr. Gordon had given up control of his class the moment the 'new kid' entered. "We went to the same middle school."

Zoe gasped. "I remember you! You and that turd over there -" she gestured at Zack, which caused Chase's dimples to deepened again. Yay! - "Used to pull pranks all the time. Ya' know before he went all saintly on us."

"Yeah." Chase said, looking at the two of them closer. "You," he gestured at Zoe, narrowing his eyes," were our competition." It was true. In middle school Zoe was a prankster and a tomboy. When she entered high school she got a little girly, on account of the whole being-forced-to-wear-a-catholic-girl-uniform thing but she still caused chaos. "And you..." he said looking down at Adrianna, his arms still around her shoulders. Suddenly, he smile widened and his dimples went even deeper. Adrianna wondered how she was still in solid form.

"You were Miss. BedHead."

Adrianna flushed. Normally she hadn't minded the nickname. After all she did sleep all the time. But for some reason she was throughly embarrassed that was the only way Chase had remembered her.

"I had the biggest crush on you." Chase admitted it looking thoughtful. "Oh well." he proclaimed removing his arms from around her shoulders. Just then the Bell rang and Chase and Zack got up.

"I'll see you guys, tomorrow!" Zack exclaimed. That was the last class he had with them for the rest of the day.

Adrianna slowly started to pack her bag. When she was done she stared at the front of the class and took a deep breath before finally looking at Zoe.

Zoe looked like it was Christmas. Adrianna groaned.

"You're going out with him."

"Leave it alone, Zoe."

"No. He just said he has a crush on you."

"No he said he 'had' a crush on me. Not that he still has one."

"You don't tell someone you had a crush on them unless you still like them."

"Zoe, please. Leave. It. Alone."

"No."

"You're gonna be late for class."

"So are yo- oh right. You don't have an 8th period on Thursdays and Fridays. Lucky bish..."

Adrianna stuck out her tounge. "Bye!"

She left a slightly frustrated Zoe running towards her 8th period class on the 5th floor. Guys in the hall paused and enjoyed the short show of Zoe's skirt flying in the air. Adrianna grimaced. Pigs.

When she reached home Adrianna didn't know what to do with herself. She didn't gave any homework and she was out a period early. Usually Adrianna prayed for days like these. More sleep. But that was the thing. She wasn't sleepy. She doubted one day of sleep was enough to slove her problem - although she did yawn less today - but the Expresso from lunch was still running through her. She usually didn't have this problem.

Adrianna decided she'd take a bath. She read something somewhere about hot water making people sleepy. She wouldn't know having taken freezing cold showers for most of her life.

Three hours later Adrianna had to admit, she definitely saw the appeal of hot baths. She wouldn't say they made you sleepy though. Lazy, sure. Tired? Meh.

Adrianna laid down and waited for sleep to claim her. It took longer than she was used to. (10 minutes!) And then she dreamed.

She and Chase were sitting under a tree eating something. She didn't know what it was but it tasted like chocolate to her. Chase had said something about them taste like mangos. Whatever they were the tasted good. They only odd thing about it was that when you out them in you mouth, you didn't chew or swallow it. The flavor would explode into your mouth and then whatever it was would crawl down your throat for you.

Adrianna was distracted by a loud noise above her head. She looked and saw Zack and Zoe standing in the air and fighting each other with sticks playfully. They were laughing and dilebrately missing or making it easy for the other to dodge. She laughed with them and watched.

The next day Adrianna woke up smiling. Dreams were weird, but she could get use to them.
