Captured, restrained, in pain
malicious ancient beings
clouding my mind
fear and frustration overcome
fighting to stay conscious
hurt, suffering, endless, prodding
many I see and I am only one
fighting for freedom
screaming without a voice
pushing against the pressure
resisting the their minds
letting none enter mine
survival my only thought
I am not alone
yet others do not fight
strong is my mind
resilient is my soul
courageous is my heart
giving up is not a thought
surrender is not an option
my mind pushing at theirs
my body will not go under
my soul will not surrender
my heart will not give up
tired, weakening, in pain
frightened, suffering, yet alive
my efforts pay off
they let go of my mind
too much trouble
not enough results
I'm home again
this time remembering
shaken yet not defeated
sleep is my enemy
dreams equal pain
stay awake or risk it again
