Sonnet: Rainy Moods

I never fathom'd why they walk in rain,

One faithful day that I gave it a try,

Why subject myself to this rheumy pain,

Penn'd in this sonnet will I justify.

When the first drops my face did they strickén,

Unexplain'd, this sadness, caus'd me ponder-

Then I loan'd God my crying shoulder, then

wonder,Why our Father wept, I wonder?

Is this world defiled? Might be that is so,

Are Thine children in pain? Might be that too,

How can I help Thee? This I not yet know.

How would Thou use me? I lay my life for You.

The rain grew heavy after my declare,

Back to my shelter, this to thee I share.

Author's note: It's been quite a while since you've seen a sonnet from me. There ya go! And yes this inspiration is genuine from me strutting like an idiot in the rain. :)
