The Aftermath

It's like a shattered shadow on rippled water,
Stung like the harsh deceiving edge
of the tiny pieces of broken glasses-
It's a fire that burns you within,
A double edged sword
that may cut through your own flesh,
That rip your bones apart as it scatter your sins
leaving a permanent wound deep within that would not heal.
It's a morning where the sun refused to shine
the tremor of chill that rise
past the never-ending night
and the wind that irritates the skin.
Like a haze of white before the suffocation,
and a gaze of riot before the humiliation.
As everything fade before me, disappeared into oblivion,
the sparks of rage inside my heart
consumed me and swallowed me whole.
