we finally arrived at Ruby's house, he opened the door and we walked in. When I walked inside and I was almost trampled by kids, one boy and one girl

"deja de corre" ruby spoke to the kids

they simply ignored him laughing among each other

"ruby is that you!?" a women yells from across the house

"Sí mamá" ruby responds

"can you give me hand in the kitchen please" the women asked

"stay here" he says before walking away

I looked around at the very decorative home, it had very warm feeling that made me feel a little home sick

the two little kids started running back into a room making a man walking out of the same room trip

he groans before continuing to walk not even noticing me

"honey, have you seen my socks?" the man asked

he turned around to see me standing by the door "whose this?" he asked

a women and elder women walks out the kitchen and stares at me, ruby squeezed through them

"that's who i was talking about mom" he says

"this is jo" he says

"why is he here?" the women asked

"she actually just needs some food, a shower, some fresh clothes and a place to sleep" ruby explains

it was silent until the Ruby's mother walked up to me

"are you in a gang?" she asked

"no ma'am" i say

"do you have weapons, drugs or alcohol on you?" she asked

"no ma'am" I say

"do you own any?" she asked

"no ma'am" i say again

"drug and alcohol?" she asked

"no ma'am i don't do either" I shook my head

she takes a look at me "what happened to your feet?" she asked

"i stepped on glass" i say

"where's your shoes?" she asked me

"i don't have any- i mean did until someone stole them while i was sleeping" i say

"how old are you?" she asked

"19" i say

"she can sleep on the couch" she says before walking away

"thanks mom" ruby says giving me a thumbs up

"jo follow me" Ruby's mom says

I follow her into a room "do you have on a bra?" she asked

I shake my head, no

"underwear?" she asked

I shake my head, no

"i have new pairs" she says going in her draw grabbing clothes

she give me the clothes and I followed her to the bathroom where she turned on the shower and pulled out a towel and rag for me

"get cleaned up, abuelita will change the bandage on your feet and dinner will be ready in a hour" she says before leaving the bathroom closing the door behind her

I remove the clothes I've had on since I was with Ceaser on the first night

I remove the bandage on feet and threw from in the trash before stepping into the shower

I watch as the dirt and dried blood slowly watched off my feet and down the drain

When I finished showering, I got out and turned off the shower, and dried off before getting dressed. When I exited the bathroom I gave Mrs. Martinez since she said she'll take care of them for me, while Ruby and his siblings set the table. I sat in the living room with Ruby's Grandmother cleaned and changed the bandages on my feet

While we ate dinner it was silent the only thing that you could hear was the silverware hitting the plates. I feel someone wanted to say something but no one does until his little speaks up

"are you homeless?"

Ruby puts his face in his palm as his mother scolded the little boy. After dinner I helped ruby and his mother clean the dishes and the table. While the younger kids got ready for bed, Ruby put up the rest of the dishes while Mrs. Martinez made up the couch for me

"Thank you Mrs. Martinez for everything" I said

"it's no problem" she smiled at me "goodnight" she says before walking towards her room

"night" I say before laying down on the couch and putting the cover over my body

"Goodnight Jo" Ruby said before entering his room

"Night Ruby" she says
