Why choose something broken
Over something new and whole
Why follow the lost one
Over the others with a goal
Why search for the sun
Over the rainbow that's right there
Why choose someone hurt
Over one who can easily care
Why chase a rock
Over the gem before your eyes
Why choose depression
Over she who never cries
Why look into the dark
Over the light that's close ahead
Why choose the dying heart
Over one not filled with dread
Why choose one lying there
Over one not on the ground
Why give me your heart
Over the better ones around
