This story is about a lamb and her animal friends going on a musical adventure to the city of Bremen finding lots of musical instruments from their bags stolen by two fierce robbers.
The next morning, the animals decided to form the four bags into one big sack. They left the house and went down the road until they came to a bridge. But on their way, Cat and Lamb Chop decided that they wanted to play instruments, too.

Cat picked out a clarinet. A member of the Woodwind Family. And Lamb Chop knew she wanted to play an instrument, too. "I want to play the piano!" she said, stubbornly. But the other animals laughed. She wouldn't want to walk all the way to Bremen with a piano on her back because it was too big for her. So she decided to play something different. She took the violin out of the sack, gave it to Dog and looked into the sack. "Hmmmm..." she thought. "What's in the sack that's little like me?"

Lamb Chop picked out a flute. It's one of the smallest musical instruments in the whole world. It's a member of the Woodwind Family, just like Cat's clarinet.
"Let's go, everybody," shouted Lamb Chop. "It's still a long, long way to Bremen!"
