I sat in front of the cafe waiting for Bri to get out of her class and she was taking forever, i pulled out my phone to see I had a new text from Maurice. We had been texting on and off for the past few days just small talk but he was consistent not just giving up.
Maurice- Wassup Gorgeous?" It read and I smiled some
Me- Hey Maurice And nothing waitinng for Bri so we can go eat you?" I wrote back and 3 bubbles popped up almost immediately
Maurice- Her slow ass 😂 and nun about to get into some shit with Kedo. " he wrote and I was surprised he didn't say anything about about me calling him by his first name
Me- Lol And you guys are really best best friends huh?" I asked because they really spent every single day together
"Maurice- My brother like he my momma son but when you gonna let me take you out?" He asked and I looked up to see Bri walking towards me
"About time what took so long?" I asked her locking my phone
"Professor Ontari wanted to write the review for the final on the board once the class was over" she said and I shook my head
"He does that on purpose every semester" I told her because I had took him last semester
"This review better be exactly like the test" she complained
"You never know with him" I told her getting up so we could go in the cafe.
After swiping in we grabbed plates to get food
"I know I was late but you didn't seem to mind while you were texting... Reese?" She questioned with a raised brow and I looked at her shaking my head
"Liar" She said getting pasta from the pasta station and I got a chicken parm wrap
Once we sat down we started eating "So he didn't text you?" She questioned
"He did but that's not who I was texting" I lied because I didn't want her going overboard
"Well what did you guys talk about?, y'all going on a date yet?" She questioned
"Why you being so nosey" I joked
"Because this could be your first boyfriend and I'm excited plus if Reese messes up I'll fight him, punch him right in his big head" she said punching the air and I laughed
"He wants to go out, he asked me when but I feel like it's gonna be awkward. You should come too"
"On a date with y'all?" She questioned before laughing
"Yeah he's with Kedo all the time anyways and that's your favorite cousin"
