Authors Note: I am not a poetry writer....but sometimes it happens, and sometimes I fall in love with it.

Darkness covers the valley like a thick quilt.

I feel it on my shoulders.

Chilled air bites my nose.

My ears ring from the deathly silence.

Licking my lips I taste the wind.

The smell of frozen earth is there.

Nothing is before me, nothing behind.

Chills cover me as if frozen fire flickers at my spine.

A fire from Shakespeare during a dark night in England.

Something is before me, something is behind.

A light blinds my eyes and stuns my soul.

I am stupid, for I didn’t notice the sun.

Feeling smashed from being crushed under.

Goodnight Moon.

The shining beacon of the night.

I flew to the stars.

Diana was lifted to her home.

The darkness will someday come back.

Its sea of stars will turn to concrete in the sky.

I’ll never go back but I will return.

La lune et les étoiles bonne nuit bonne nuit.

The night sky whispers its final goodbye.

Clouds dot the bright sky.
