"Bummy! Bummy bum bum! Wait for me!" I screamed happily, waving my hands wildly.

The short, skinny, black haired man turned around with a small smile on his face. He paused in his tracks, and squeezed his bookbag straps.

He's Yoon Bum, my best friend since high school. We had bonded quickly, and boy did we have a quick and strong bond.

He's 28, while I'm 27. He was born just one week before me, which makes us even better friends. Speaking of birthdays, his birthday is in 2 weeks. I'm excited! I already have his gift.

"What takes you so long?" He looked down, kicking a rock out of his way and onto the road. He continued walking, despite not being able to see in front of him.

"Eheheheh...I'm slow?" I blushed nervously, scratching my cheek. I noticed two girls talking to each other, making me anxious. I could never find out what they were talking about.

They looked at me, paused, then continued talking, making me hide on the other side of Bum. I looked down just like him, playing with my little paper fortune teller.

"Are you ready for the game tonight?" He smirked, but that quickly disappeared, his fake smile replacing it.

"As if. I'm not even gonna go. Games are for weirdos." I puffed my cheeks, looking to the right of me. I saw a house with an orange roof, a house with a black roof, another house with a black roof, a house with a blue door, and a burnt down house, and a house with a r-

"You're right. Everyone is weird. Are we weird, too?" He mumbled. I brushed it off as he kept quietly asking himself questions.

Blue door, red door, ooh, green door! White door, white door, beige door, brown door, colorful door...looks like a child drew on it...oh, a puppy! White puppy, green grass, blue skies, white clouds, white yellow sun, visible white moon, black jacket, long metal sti- POLE!

I tried dodging the incoming pole, but it smacked me right in my face. I groaned, holding my head. "Ow..."

"Hey, are you alright, Lis?" Bum asked, rubbing my hand which was resting on my forehead. "Let me see." He removed my hand and looked at the mark. "Doesn't seem so severe...might bruise, though. Just patch it up, okay?" He said, then turned around and continued walking.

I sighed, holding my head. I'll just go to the Nurses Center and ask for ice and a bandage. No big deal.

Lunch time. It was the worst time ever. At least Bummy always saves me a seat. It was great knowing that he just wanted to sit next to me, no matter how awkwardly silent it is.

I found my seat and immediately took a big bite out of my sandwich. It tasted great. It was layered with lettuce, onions, cheese, and pickles. People say it's gross, but I like it.

I looked over at Bum. He wasn't eating. That wasn't good, he hardly weighs anything, and he's skinnier than a twig.

"Here, Bummy. Have my crackers. It wont do much, but it's something." I smiled, giving him my whole packet of crackers.

He was surprised, but accepted it, no matter how much he didn't want to. That was actually kinda easy.

I sighed, smiling a bit. There was something that felt off...not about Bum, but about the entire Cafeteria.

I looked around, and noticed somebody staring at Bum...or me..I couldn't really tell..

"Bummy," I tapped Bums shoulder. "Do you know that guy? Hes starting at us.." I felt uneasy about him. Something just...scared me.
