"So you are alone in this place?" Johnny asked

"Yeah." Mackenzie replied putting her bags down

She looked at Johnny, Confused "aren't you leaving yet?" She asked

"No, not until I know you're fine" he crossed his arms

"I'm fine" she acted normal

"No you're not" he clearly wasn't convinced

"Let's go-"

He touched Mackenzie's arm and as she winced in pain, he lifted up the sleeve seeing a big bruise, he was shocked, he told her to sit down while he got some ice packs.

he placed the ice packs to where the bruise is at.

"Who is she?" Johnny suddenly asked pointing to a picture of a girl

"Pretty huh?"

"She's Maddie, my sister" Mackenzie gave a small smile

"Where is she?" He asked

"She's in Australia"

"With my family" she replied

Johnny sighed

"Why?" Mackenzie asked

"I don't know."

"My sisters are having their own lives"

"Our mom left us"

"And my dad, he doesn't even care, all he cares about is business." he rolled his eyes

"He wants me to date Nadia for our company"

As those words, came out of Johnny's mouth, Mackenzie was shock.

"What?" She said

He sighed, "me and Nadia were childhood friends, her family is rich and so is ours, i guess, and my dad thought that it would really be a good Idea if a family member would get to marry a Turner, but only Nadia and I are compatible, for my sisters are too old for Nadia's brothers,"

"I didn't even like her, well at least not the way everybody thinks,"

"Because when my mom left us,  I've been so numb, I wouldn't feel any brokenness after a girl would leave me, I don't even know what falling in love is like. because honestly, there is nothing more painful than a son who was abandoned by his mother"

Mackenzie was shocked by Johnny's words, she didn't have a clue about what he've been through, and I guess she shouldn't judge everyone according to how they look and act, she frowned as if she felt his pain.

"So you were forced to love someone?" She concluded but it sounded like a question,
he stayed silent.

"Yeah, but she was all I have."

"She's a friend I could count on, she has always been there every time I needed her, but she decided to leave me too" he said still holding on to the ice packs that was on Mackenzie's arm

"Anyways, you're getting to personal" He said giving a little attitude

"Fine, Fine ok, OK, it's fine to be grumpy" Mackenzie said

"Because Now I know the reason why you're like that"

"I'm not grumpy" Johnny said

"Yeah, sure, That's why all the students at the campus are afraid of you." Mackenzie raised her eye brows

"And you're one of them?" Johnny asked

"Except for me." Mackenzie confidently said

"Then why did you agree to be my 'girlfriend'?"

"Because I didn't want you guys bothering Annie, she had a lot of things going on with her life and also..."

"I realized that maybe I was the key to your second chance" Mackenzie replied

"Because I saw you at the Arcade,"

"When you let those guys beat you down."

"It looked like you were willing to die for her." Mackenzie grinned

"So I told my self, wow, I can't believe that there are still people who can love like that. It's unbelievable. willing to die for love? Isn't that stupid?" She continued

"But then you told me your back story, and maybe you did Love her. But not in the way your father wanted you to do"

"And just Like you I also love and care for my best friend"

"Because they were the only ones who made us feel at home when our family couldn't" she ended looking at Johnny who was softly smiling at her.

"i thought, maybe that's how much you love Nadia, and I said 'what a lost would it be.' People like you deserves a second chance, so that you'll have the opportunity to show that love to the person you love the most." Mackenzie gave a small smile.

"She's such a lucky girl" She sighed

"Because there is someone willing to die for her?" Johnny asked

"Because someone loves her, period." Mackenzie replied

"So if you were her... would you come back to me?" Johnny asked while removing the ice pack from her arm

"Of coarse" She replied confidently making Johnny smirk at her

"But I'm not her" she slightly glared at him

"Nope! You already said it. you can't take it back." he said still smirking at her

" at least, there's one person who thinks that I am worthy to be loved" his smirked turned into a smile, The brunette smiled back

Mackenzie took a deep breath and started to open up

"About Isaak, he was the person who Made me understand what love was."

"If that was ever love" she continued

"All I ever understood about love was dying for someone"

"If you love someone, you are willing to die for them,"

"Willing to stay with them forever, he always told me that we'll love each other forever, but yet here we are standing in the end" Mackenzie sighed

"And here I am Confused about this thing called Love." She ended

"But does it really hurt?" Johnny asked

"The bruises?"

"No I'm talking about Love"

"Do we really have to get hurt every time we Love?"

"Try it so you'll find out." Mackenzie said

"I don't think I can take it" Johnny sighed

"Why?"

"Because I'm weak" The boy snorted

"It takes practice" Mackenzie said

"I'll try it in you" he smirked

"No way!, those girls might beat me down again"

"They're pissed at me because they say that we aren't a match." Mackenzie sighed

"Leave it to me" Johnny assured

"We will start tomorrow."
