You just make it before the walls close in. This room is filled to the brim with lit candles; only a few spaces have an opening. To the left is a jar of something that looks like ointment. To your right is a ladder, with blades instead of beams to climb. You hear a voice say,
"Congratulations on making it this far. You have two options; as usual. You can either smear that highly flammable substance in the jar all over yourself, and hop in the candle-less spaces. One wrong move and you're set on fire entirely. Or, you can take your shoes off, climb the ladder of swords to the top and continue your journey that way. But a wrong move that way and you'll most likely fall onto a couple of swords and be decapitated. Your choice."
Which do you do?
A) The ladder of swords sounds a little easier, at least a death from that could be quick (Page 15)
B) Candles, I probably have a better shot (Page 93)
