Your Smile.

Just because I always have a smile for you,
Does not mean it's one that's true.

These smiling lips are actually doors,
Sealed shut to the entry of more pain,
Refusing to say all that I fought for.

These grinning lips are really barriers,
Which prohibit my soul,
From stealthily slipping away,
Just like my sanity.

These beaming lips are impediments,
Because responding to your words,
Will create a medium of freedom,
To the shackles of my heart.

So next time these lips break into a smile,
You should know that even if it's for you,
It'll never be one that's true.
