Ever since I was little I always lived by the quote,
" do what you love, love what you do"
It always kept me going but now,
I don't know if I can hold on much longer.
I was walking through the park as I listened to the soothing sound of the colorful leaves crunching beneath my small feet.
I listened very carefully while thinking about life.
My whole life is a mess and I couldn't even tell you without choking up on the first word.
My dads in jail ,my moms mean and my family members don't bother to reach out to me.
Neither do my so called 'friends'.
I-I'm done.
Anyways, I was enjoying my walk until I got disrupted.
Ughhhhhhh.
Someone called out my name," Sam, Sam, SAM COME BACK HERE!"
I groaned as I slowly turned around.
I was completely suprised that this wasn't a person I've talked in to before.
How in the world do they know who I am?!
This person was started to get closer and closer.
Approaching me quickly, very quickly.. Almost, too quickly?
As you could imagine I was overwhelmed!
Then, as if in one swift motion... They stopped.
Our eyes locked on each-other.
His with hope.
Mine with fear.
It started to get very dark and it seemed like hours had passed.
Nobody said anything.
N o t - o n e - w o r d.
I was about to leave when he spoke once again, making me startled.
"Hi, I remember seeing you in the halls when we were in middle school."
I took a brief sigh.
"What happened, you used to be happy?"
He said that more as a question than anything.
I thought for a while...
I spoke.
"My life changed, everyone stopped caring, I dropped out of school,
In 10th grade,
I'm a blow out
I'm just...
Broken"
I whispered the last word but loud enough for him to hear.
"Why do you even care"
I said, my voice low and cracking every syllable.
"Because, I-I, I want to save you."
I felt hope for once, something I haven't felt in a while.
It felt good to know somebody actually cared.
I already know it won't last long though.

I looked up at the sky when I walked home,
Staring at the stars that recently returned to the now black sky.
As I walked I thought..
Maybe things could finally change...
