Quietly, I listened to the glorious sound of the waves that surrounded me, my legs engulfed in the sea water with a silicon mermaid tail ready to swim in. I couldn't help but feel excited. I'd been waiting for this very moment for months. It had taken me a long time to save up the money and then there was the process of making it.

And now I sat there, waiting as I watched the sea waves. My friend soon joined me with an under water camera and now it was time to dive into the water.

Suddenly, I became weightless and free. No longer did I hold on to the worries of life on land. All of my cares seemed to drift with the ocean waves and now I was free. Here, in this world, I was just like everyone else. I was as able bodied as everyone else and that was just what I'd always wanted.

Soon, I began swimming along side the wild dolphins that were off the coast near where I lived. Gently, I touched the nose of a dolphin and soon, I found myself playing the dolphin. The dolphin seemed to act as though I were another dolphin, it seemed to hold no fear of me, instead it was as if I'd suddenly become the dolphins friend.

I smiled and gradually, without realising it, I left my friend behind as I became completely engulfed in the new world. The ocean.

I continued playing with the dolphin for hours and not once did I seem to become tired. Time just seemed to slip through my fingertips and it was only when my head pierced through the water, so that I could breath, did I notice that sunset was near.

At first, I panicked. I had no idea how I would be able to get home and which direction to swim in. It appeared that I had swam very far away from the shore that when I finally caught the sight of land in the corner of my eye, it seemed farely distant from where I was.

The dolphin appeared beside me and I frowned. Silently, I couldn't help but wish that I didn't have to leave. I loved the sea far too much whilst land was certainly not my calling. I dived back under that water and began to race towards the land. The dolphin assisted me in moving faster in order to reach the land in time when something unusual caught my eye. I stopped for a moment and glanced over my left shoulder, in the direction where I'd seen the glimmering tail the size of a dolphins.

Something about what I had seen, confused me greatly and it took the dolphin to grab my attention before I continued onward towards land.

We had to have been gaining close to land when it happened. When an unusually large, white figure appeared in front of me and seemed to pin me against a large piece of the coral reef. I gulped as I stared into the creatures farely large eyes and looked at its human features. Even though its eyes were large, they still resembled humans and its pupils appeared to be a beautiful light blue.

It's nose, lips and head shape seemed farely human, well besides for the unusual bump in the centre of the top of the creatures head that seemed to follow down the back of the creatures head, and the unusual pale white and blue skin, its face would look to be like a humans.

The creature held an unusual weapon of some sort against my throat. The weapon reminded me of a small spear. Looking down the creatures arm, I noticed it had hands with webbed fingers and yet again its upper half appeared farely human.

But the further I looked down the creatures body, the more I noticed how different he was to me. His unusual, white and light blue tail that resembled a dolphin's tail or a whales tail, had no resemblances to humans at all.

The creature opened its mouth and released an unusual noise. I stared at the creature in confusion for a moment, unable to understand what it was saying. Again it released the same unusual noise just as I became desperate for breath and I had to begin fighting the painful reflex to breath.

Immediately, the unusual creature seemed to know what was happened and dragged me to the surface so that I could breath again. I coughed several times before I looked back to the creature and tried to analyse it further. Unable to believe what I was seeing with my own eyes.
