Damon whenhe knew he would never fall in love again after (name) had been killed over fifty years ago. He was the guy Damon could share anything with, who he trusted and loved more than anyone. When he had died it broke Damon and he had turned off his emotions for a while. No one knew about (name), not even Stefan.
