Dedicated to Parogar for being an awesome mentor... ^-^

It was utterly silent and dark as I crept across the corridor outside my room. I was trying to sneak out without waking up Sam.

The best option would have been to escape through my bedroom window, but it being on the second floor of our mansion, it wouldn't try it even if I was high on weed.

So here I was, reduced to creeping like a burglar through my own place.

I kept shuffling blindly through the dark corridor, my arms stretched out like a zombie feeling his way forward.

After a while, something hard stubbed my toe. Immediately, pain coursed through my toes.

"AHH... FUK..". I clamped my mouth shut.

Freezing for a moment, I strained my ears. Perhaps, today I would be honoured by a double grounding by Sam.

But what the hell would double grounding even mean?

No going out for a month? Fine with me. That would make me miss Lameville school.

I could hear no sounds which would indicate that anyone was getting up to check on me. I would definitly hear if Sam used his elevator to get to this section of the mansion.

Sam's got webcams monitoring my wing of the mansion since the last time I had sneaked my gang members over. He was furious when he had to call 911 to take away the tiger.

About the tiger? That's a long story for another time.

I stretched my hands out again, desperately trying to get a hold of my bearings. My hands clutched what felt like the banister to me. I quietly crept down the staircase and soon, I had reached the front door. Front door wasn't exactly what it would be normally called. A large dome precedes it and the huge old, oak door has an enormous handle which only our butler, Bitterman, could haul and open.

I folded my sleeves up and got ready to put in all my strength to open the door.

A while passed by. I was still huffing and puffing as I pulled at the door with no effect. Sliding to the floor and resting my aching arms, I held up my glow-in-the-dark skull watch.

Eleven twenty.

I was twenty minutes late.

I sighed loudly and buried my head in my arms. So much for sneaking out at night.

"May I help you, Miss?" I heard a low voice nearby.

I gasped loud and jumped to my feet immediately. "Shhh, Miss" I heard "You must be quiet. This is Bitterman" he said as he walked up to me. I could just make out his outline in the dark.

"Why are you awake, Bitterman?" I whispered.

"My room is down the corridor, Miss and I heard you trying to open the door" he replied.

I flushed "Uhmm...Could...Could you not tell Sam?"

"As you wish, Miss. The Master will not be hurt by what he doesn't know. But will you be safe, Miss? That is a bad, bad world out there" he said.

I snorted "It isn't exactly heaven here, Bitterman. And moreover, I can take care of myself"

I could just make out Bitterman nodding his head at me in the darkness.

I smiled back at him. I always appreciated how much Bitterman and Hobson care for me.

Soon, we both were heaving at the oak door and it opened within a few moments with a loud creak which seemed to resound through the entire house.
