Chapter Two

ALLIANA XYRENE

"Yooo kuya! Long time no see! Nakakatuwa ka naman, hindi ka padin nagbabago!" Nakangiting aniya ni Kuya Kall habang yumakap kay Kuya Jaxx. "Mukha ka paring binagsakan ng langit at lupa."

Kuya Kallum Jacob (Kall for short) was the second child of our parents, being 23 this year. He inherited most of mommy's features at kung idagdag mo pa ang shoulder-length hair niya, ay napaka-ambiguous nang dating. He's very pretty and his overall vibe portrays him as meek, however he was the total opposite.

Siya ang pinakamalala sa aming pamilya. I lost count how many times both men and women alike made a scene in front of us, just to earn his love. Hindi ko narin alam kung bakit ba ang daming nagpapatanga sakaniya despite knowing his reputation.

Rome was not built in a day, same goes with his, as he says, adventures. Based on the chika Ate Mira shares, his playboy ways started because of his failed first love (how cliche.)

"Talaga ba Kallum?" Kuya Jaxx rolled his eyes at tinulak ito palayo para yakapin si ate, "sa way ng pananalita mo, parang ang tagal na nating hindi nagkita ah. Tell me, naglayas ka ba ulit?" I laughed as Kuya Kall's face soured. He was no stranger to heartbreak at ang paglayas niya was one of his dark pasts that he refuses to acknowledge.

"That was ages ago, move on!"

"Matagal na, but you can't deny that it was iconic." I retorted. Hindi ko man maalala kung ano ang eksaktong dahilan, doesn't change the fact that the scene was epic.

"Oo nga, I still remember your "hinding hindi ko siya iiwan" lines like it happened yesterday." Ate Mira mentioned, which made me laugh out loud. Even Kuya Jaxx smirked, finding amusement in his grief.

I opened my phone and sent a message to Avarys, in case he misses the show.

"Mira! Akala ko ba close tayo!" He whined, clinging on her side. "Bakit mo pinaalala!"

Ate Mira sighed as she sat on the sofa. "Nagsasawa na ako sa pagmumukha mo, so pwede ba? Lumayo ka sakin."

Ate Mirabella Elizabeth (Mira for short) ang pinakaclose ni Kuya Kall saaming magkapatid, with her being barely a year younger than him. Sinabay na din sila ni Mommy'ng pagaralin so they are classmates.

Ate is very smart, graduating as a cum laude at UP Diliman. Her one flaw was that she is terrible at keeping secrets and loves gossip. Andami kong naririnig na chismis tungkol sa kapatid namin na nangagaling sakaniya.

"We look alike, so that means sawa ka na sa mukha mo?" Kuya Kall retorted as she shook her head. "Sige ganiyanan pala hah, gusto mo bang pagusapan natin si he who shall not be named?"

"Hoy foul!" Natatawang sabi ni Avarys na pababa ng hagdan. Kumunot ang noo ni ate kaya't natawa din ako.

Siya lang kasi sa tatlo ang in a stable relationship, or atleast she was 2 month ago. Nadiskobre kasi na nagcheacheat sakaniya yung jowa niya with his girl bestfriend, na kaibigan din niya. So imagine her shock when she found out.

Umiling si Kuya Jaxx, "gago ka talaga Kallum. Kita mong di pa nakamove on eh inaasar mo na."

"Siya nauna."

"Excuse me, nakamove on na ako!" She frowned, "ewan ko ba bakit ko pinatulan yung panget na yun."

"Ate, baka nakakalimutan mong iniyakan mo yung "panget" mong ex." Ani ni Avarys. He sat beside me so I immediately placed my feet on his lap. Hindi naman niya tinaboy dahil sanay na siya.
