I looked at the clock
Would it come tonight?
10:45 pm ...... 10:50 pm.........
Then it began, as it had before
Rain at first - H A R D ..............
H A R D E R ....................
Then the first THUNDER
of the night...
a teasing ....rumbling.....
far up in the back
of the nightsky's throat.
Last night it'd been early
arriving at 10:30 pm
throwing out a few loud, teasing
C R A S H E S then it
left me in a half hour....
Tonight my monsoon
stayed for two...yes, two lonnng hours.
with dramatic B O O M S and lightning
dancing a sexy salsa around the valley,
to and fro, up close
then pull away
teasing me with the light
and sound,
the hard and soft rain
Then my monsoon
left
without saying good night...
my monsoon.
