I met a child somewhere down the road
With broken smiles but eyes full of hopes
"One day...." He said in dull ragged clothes
I looked back at me and here was I
Branded clothes on but ragged heart inside
I felt I was missing something big in sight
All that is precious, oh, precious in life
I saw a girl talking to god
With crippled leg, still thanking what she got
Counting all the blessings and she just couldn't stop
I looked back at me and here was I
In perfect state, still living in sighs
I felt I was missing something big in sight
All that is precious, oh, precious in life
Thank you God for all that you give
A place to live, loved ones to heed
The health I need, sleep full of peace
I look back at me and there was I
Overlooking little things, life's real prize
I feel I was missing something big in sight
All that is precious, oh, precious in life.
