Think of laura is a song-inspired by a true-to-life incident. Mr. Cross (the singer) once courted a girl named Pauline... Pauline was Laura Carter's friend. These two girls were really beautiful.
One day, Laura's parents came over to visit her. Napagpasyahan nilang mamasyal.
Laura was seated at the backseat alone while her parents were in front. They were so happy talking when suddenly...
BANG!
There were two cars chasing each other...
An stray bullet killed Laura Carter. The young, bubbly lady died all of the sudden.
Na-gets niyo ba gusto kong iparating? Sayang ang kinabukasan ni Laura.
Mr. Cross wrote the song as a remebrance. Para kay Pauline na talaga namang nag-suffer ng todo noon at sa lahat ng taong nagmahal at patuloy na nagmamahal kay Laura.
Sabi sa lyrics: "Think of Laura... LAUGH don't cry"
This is to remind everybody that if they miss Laura, just smile 'cause Laura wants them to be happy.
I once wished that my name is "Laura" so that if I request a song to the man I love, he would sing this song to me.
