After lunch, I scooped my textbooks into my arms and walked into Biology. The only open seat was in the back, next to the bad boy who was chewing gum loudly. I blushed and slid into the seat.

The boy scooted his desk in closer to mine. "Sup. I know I haven't formally introduced myself, but the name's Ross." Ross extended his hand.

I shook his hand. "Nice to meet you Ross. Delilah, as you already know."

Suddenly, Ross's face turned red and his cheeks puffed put like a fish out of the water. "HAHAHAHAHA!" Ross laughed, throwing his head back.

I released my grip on his hand. "What's so funny?" I asked.

Ross stopped laughing and shook his head. "Just that you shook my hand when I was looking for a high five, oh you're so old fashioned."

I blew some air into my cheeks and puffed it out. "Whatever."

Ross winked at me. "It's cute actually."

I rolled my eyes, but smiled mentally.

Fifty minutes later, the bell rang. Ross nudged me with his elbow and asked, "What do you have next?"

I scanned my schedule. "Umm...Study Hall."

Ross slung one arm around my neck and nodded. "Same."

When we reached the library, Ross wandered off to look at some magazines. I took a seat on a couch behind a big shelf of books, where it was quiet and private, and started reading.

A few minutes later, Ross sat down next to me on the couch. His hand reached out and pushed the book out of my lap. Seconds later, his head was in the place the book used to be, nested in my lap. His brown eyes fluttered close.

I was as still as a rock in shock at first, but then realized he wasn't going to move his head. So I started stroking his head and combing his hair. Minutes later, a light snoring came from my lap. Ross was asleep, his face looking relaxed and peaceful. I shrugged off my hoodie and spread it over Ross's still figure. Every little snore traveled up my spine and made me shiver.

The bell sounded and I gently patted Ross's cheek. "Rise and shine sleepyhead," I whispered. Ross made a cooing sound and shook his hair, standing up.

Grabbing my hand, he blinked a few times and pulled me out of the library, his hand running down his hair in attempt to smooth it. "That was a good nap," Ross said, smacking his lips.

It turned out that Ross had Trig next and I had PE, so Ross gave me a quick peck on the cheek, smirking at my blush, and detoured to his classroom while I headed for the gym.

Then it occurred me that I had never seen Ross smile.
