Heart-Wrenched

I love your rough edges and soft parts that bleed,
The ruins of your soul are poetry to me.
Your broken mind, your evilness,
I can't help but crave your toxic kiss.

But you took my soul and made it darker,
Filled up my world with permanent marker.
You tattered my heart and ruined it all,
After you pulled me in and made me fall.

You clouded my head with beautiful lies,
Showed me false love and made me so blind.
I thought that it was real love that I'd found,
But as reality had it, I was trapped and bound.

I took a blade and slit myself free,
And then I realized I could finally breathe.
My heart is shattered, but I'll be just fine,
Because I know I wasn't the bad guy.
