 *A Special Poem for a Special Someone* :

Here I stand,

at a safe distance,

unable to breathe because,

I'm lost in your trance.

 

And there you go,

with the rest of your gang,

and inside my chest,

my heart continues to bang.

 

And just like that,

tears escape my eyes,

as I push my feelings away,

and flash fake smiles.

 

Soon I realize...

 

 You will never look at me,

the way I look at you,

my dreams of you and me,

will never come true.

 

You will never understand,

all the emotions I hide,

all the feelings I suppress,

within me deep inside.

 

I guess you want to ignore,

my very existence,

but you make my heart soar,

just by your presence.

 

With everyone else,

you are so bright and free,

but your eyes darken,

once they look at me.

 

You will never realize,

I will never let you know,

the love I have for you,

I will never let it show.

 

From what I've learnt,

my love is forbidden,

so I'll never express it,

and it'll always remain hidden.

 

Everyday I pray for strength,

to become who I want to be,

someone strong enough to overcome,

this effect you have on me.

 

I may never be your lover...

 

But I will be your guardian angel,

and protect you all the way,

I will be your well wisher,

and pray for you every day.

 

I may never be,

the reason behind your smile,

but I can still be the one,

protecting that smile.

 

Maybe you and I,

would've had a chance,

if we had met,

in a different circumstance.

 

I struggle everyday...

 

To stay away from you,

to keep myself apart,

but what exactly can I do,

when my Home is in your Heart.

 

I'll cry silent tears,

until I can let go,

and become that person,

who was strong enough to do so.

 

But the question is...

 

Do I want to let go?

forget about you,

your beautiful mysterious eyes,

your cute and handsome smile,

your striking personality,

 

and above all...

 

Can I let go....

of my only inspiration...
