Chapter 10

After reaching the Capital, we separated in smaller groups.

I was with Tatsumi and Akame.

Akame:"We'll control this part."

I nodded. Tatsumi looked around.

Tatsumi:"They're so scared of the ripper that they're hidden in their homes."

Me:"Can you blame them? Nobody ever survived after meeting him."

Tatsumi:"It's true, but this will make things easye-"

In a flash I hid myself behind a wall, while Akame grabbed Tatsumi and hid in an alley.

Just in time to escape from a group of soldiers.

Me:"Try saying that again."

Akame:"The guards of the Capital."

After they left, we came out.

We made some research around, without success.

Tatsumi:"Akame...can I ask you something?"

Akame:"Don't worry. I brought some emergency food."

Me:"You know, I'm starting to think that you only think to kill and to eat."

Tatsumi:"Ehm, that's not my question. Your sword would kill anyone with just a scratch, right?"

Akame:"Correct."

Me:"I'm surprised I survived..."

By the tone, he was probably thinking to when Akame almost stabbed his heart.

Me:"True, you were lucky back then."

Tatsumi:"You could die too, you know?"

Me:"Not like it never happened..."

They immediately stopped.

Tatsumi:"Eh?"

Akame:"What do you mean?"

I just looked up. With my surprise, I could see the constellation of Pegasus.

Me:"Nevermind...anyway, I must say that sword is very dangerous."

As an answer, she grabbed the sword and stared at it.

Akame:"I have it from a while, but it became famous as the cursed sword  'One Slice Kill'."

Tatsumi:"You didn't immagine you became famous, did you? But beside this, it means you're invincible."

Me:"That's naive, Tatsumi. That sword has at least two weaknesses."

He looked me shocked.

Tatsumi:"What do you mean?"

Me:"First: it doesn't work if it doesn't hit the flesh. You survived because it hit that totem."

He wanted to reply, but he knew it was true.

Me:"Second: to do so, you must get close to the enemy. And if he's faster, he'll stop you without problem."

Akame:"It also has an other weakness."

Me:"Really? What would that be?"

Akame:"Having it is unnerving. If you cut your finger, you'd die immediately."

Tatsumi:"Ah..."
