The Last:
I want this to be my last
A final day to remember
To have everything erased from my past
Watch the memories fade like an ember
The fire in my heart died long ago
And ever since then, I've been going numb
Waiting slowly for death, like a man on death row
Waiting for a day that will never come
So I'll speed up the clock on my own
I'll escape from each of the lives I've touched
I'll go reside in myself, completely alone
Releasing the hope I had once clutched
I never should have wandered so far
To find each of you in the dark
If I had left you... Things wouldn't be the way they are
My life wouldn't be so stark
But I promised to be there
I helped you however I could
Took the burdens that were too heavy to bare
Sometimes taking on more than my fair share
And in return...you abandoned me
I was left to carry this horrible load
Chained up by sadness, without a key
Attacked and beaten on a narrow road
I've bled myself dry
I'm broken
I will no longer help those who cry
I have nothing to give, its all been stolen
Now you will miss having me in your life
You will see the holes in your heart
I made you whole yet all you did was give me strife
This time, I'll let the emptiness tear you apart
