Chapter 29: DAY 3

Tripp Marco Palma (POV)

"You're getting married son!"

"WHAT?! Kanino? Kailan? Bakit?" no way!

"Relax... I know you'll be shocked kapag sinabi ko sayo, pero I promise you when you meet her, you'll be the happiest guy!" tuwang tuwa na sabi ni Papa

"Bakit hindi niyo sinabi sakin? Sana man lang bago ka nakipagkasundo eh tinanong mo muna kung papayag ba ako o hindi! Anong klaseng magulang kayo?"

"No more discussions son. Basta sinabi ko gagawin mo! Hindi ko na mababawi yyung kasi napagkasunduan na yun! And besides, you won't regret it. On Friday, we'll have an dinner with her family. 7pm at their hotel.. Ipapasundo na lang kita sa driver. Okay?" what the hell?!

Hindi ako sumagot at lumabas ako ng bahay. Dumiretso ako sa kotse ko then I drove my way to Alyah's office. I need to tell her what happened.But I changed my mind since I found her asleep on her desk. Siguro kulang siya sa tulog. Halatang pagod na pagod siya.

Pinatong ko sa kanya yung jacket na dala ko at tinawagan yung kapatid niyang si Alex.

"Bro, puntahan mo ate mo dito sa office niya. Nakatulog na eh."

"Ihatid mo na lang..."

"Hindi na muna baka gerahin lang ako."

"You're funny Tripp."

Binaba ko na yung tawag at tumingin kay Alyah. Her angelic face made me fall this hard... But I have to say goodbye to her. I should tell her na titigil na ako, besides, yun naman ang gusto niya eh. Maybe its time, I'm getting married and I can't do anything about it. Maybe we are not really for each other. Maybe we should forget about us and move on.

Alyah Zynneth Cortez (POV)

*rriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing*

Ang ingay! Arghhh... Pinindot ko yung alarm clock sa table at bumangon. When I opened my eyes I was quite shocked na nasa loob na ako ng kwarto ko. How did I end up here? The last time I remember I was signing paperworks last night inside my office.

"Good morning anak!" bati ni Mama

"Good morning Mom. Alex."

I sat down the dining table and started eating my breakfast. While eating Mom started to talk.

"Zynneth, I have a good news for you. I know that you've been through hard times these past few weeks. And the company's affected already. I know how we can save it easily."

"How?" I asked

"Our company is having a merger with T.P. Inc. and the CEO and I decided to arrange your marriage with his son."

"What?" nabitawan ko yung utensils ko

"Ate.. Calm down."

"Anak, listen to me. It's for your own good. I am your mother and I know what can make you happy."

"You can't tell me who I should marry! I'm an adult! I can decide for my own!"

"Ate wait!"

Dumiretso ako sa kwarto ko at nag-ayos na. Nagdala din ako ng mga damit para kapag inabot na ako ng gabi sa office dun na lang ako matutulog.

How dare she? After lying to me about my sister, she will order me to marry someone I don't know! What the hell!!! I don't want someone dictating my life. I have my own mind and I have my own decisions!

"Good morning Ma'am!" bati ng secretary ko

"What's good about the morning?"

Dumiretso ako sa office ko pero laking gulat ko nang makita ko ang isang Tripp Marco na nakaupo sa loob ng office ko. I looked at my secretary who is smiling widely.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" I asked with a blank face

"Alyah, we need to talk. I have something to tell you."

"Well I also have something to tell you. Diba sabi ko layuan mo na ako? Wala ka nang rason para layuan ako! I'm getting married Tripp!" dire-diretsong sabi ko

That's the only thing I could think of para layuan na niya ako. Because the more I see him, the more it hurts for me...

"W-what?" halata ang gulat sa boses niya

"Yes. I'm getting married so I think you should stay away from me."

"Okay.. I understand. I guess I really have to let you go. Yun naman yung gusto mo diba? You don't love me enough para ipaglaban tayo. Because I know that you don't love me anymore."

Dire-diretso siyang lumabas ng hindi man lang ako nililingon. Tripp, kung alam mo lang. I love you to the extent na nasasaktan na ako sa sobrang pagmamahal ko sayo. And sometimes love doesn't make you happy, it hurts you. And the more it hurts, the more you should let go.

I know na mali ang gagawin ko na ipagtabuyan din si Tripp pero ayoko lang siya masaktan. Hindi ko siya ginagantihan. In fact I was supposed to tell him that I want him back but then I decided to tell him immediately that I am getting married kahit ayaw ko, kasi kailangan. Para maaga pa lang tapos na kami at wala nang masasaktan.
