Chapter Two Brielle

A Mari and Sohinki Fanfiction

Matt Sohinki's POV:

"God, who's at the door at three in the morning?" I wondered outloud, rolling over in bed. "You stay here. I'll go see."

"I'm coming," Mari said, sleepily getting out of bed.

"No, you stay here. You and the baby need rest."

"I'm coming," she demanded, shoving her feet in her slippers.

"Fine," I said, not wanting to argue with her.

We went down the stairs, and to the front door, where Lasercorn was standing, holding a duffle bag. It looked like he had been crying, then tried to cover it up.

"Lasercorn, what's wrong?" Mari asked.

"Stephanie... she got an abortion," he choked out.

"Oh my God," Mari said, covering her hand with her mouth.

"I'm so sorry. Common in," I said, opening the door wider for him.

"Yeah, she said that she couldn't handle being a mom, so..."

"That's terrible," Mari said.

"Yeah, it really is. Can we get you anything?" I asked.

"No, I'm just tired."

"Well, let's get you settled upstairs then," Mari said, leading him to the guest room.

I grabbed a bottle of water before going upstairs, and going to our room. Mari was back a minute later, an upset look on her face.

"Why would she do that?" She asked, curling back up under the covers.

"I don't know," I said, wrapping my arm around her.

"Poor Lasercorn. I wish there was something we could do."

"We just have to be good friends for now," I said, kissing her head.

"I guess your right."

**********

Mari's POV:

I woke up early the next morning. Way before Lasercorn or Sohinki. Thanks morning sickness!

I took a shower, got dressed, did my hair and makeup, then cooked eggs and bacon for breakfast. Surprisingly, Lasercorn was up before Sohinki.

"Good morning," I smiled at him.

"Morning," he replied.

"I made breakfast," I told him, grabbing three plated from the cabinet.

"I'm not hungry," he said, plopping down at the counter.

"I know you're upset, but you still need to eat."

"Really Mari, I'm not hungry."

"At least have a cup of juice."

"Fine," he agreed, and I poured two cups of orange juice for us.

"So..." I asked a moment later. "Why'd she do it?"

"I don't know," he said, sipping at his glass. "Something about how we wouldn't be good parents."

"Are you kidding? You'd be a great dad!"

"Thanks Mari," he said, giving me a small smile. "I just wish I could've done something to convince her otherwise. It's too late now."

"Morning," Sohinki said sleepily, sitting down next to me.

"Good morning! I made breakfast!"

"I see that," he said, grabbing a plate and scooping some food on it. "Looks good."

"Thanks," I smiled.

"I'm going to go to the bedroom, Lasercorn said, slowly getting up.

"What are you going to do?" I asked.

"Look for an apartment. I love you guys, but I can't stay here forever."

"Stay here as long as you need," Sohinki told him.

"Thanks," Lasercorn said, giving him a small smile. "I will."
